Delivering careers education is a balancing act: as the Patrick Morgan Foundation, we want to teach young people the basics of the working world while also introducing them to the vast career options they have after mandatory education, many of which feel out of reach.

This week, in FE News, we tackled the latter: young people who don’t see themselves represented in certain careers do not consider those paths a viable option, which keeps interest low. Positive representation is essential in supporting the outcomes of students who normally don’t have access to opportunity; we underline this in our feature, Let’s All Play Politics, drawing on the work of Lewis Hamilton and Marcus Rashford.

Get in touch to discuss the issue further and find out more about what the Foundation is doing in the academic year along with partner schools – we have big ambitions. To read the feature in full, click here!
