Research Associate

The Opportunity and Key Responsibilities

We are looking to hire a Research Associate to support the growth of the business. The new Associate will have full exposure to some of the most senior international hires made by our Professional Services and Private Equity clients. The successful candidate will benefit from the learning that comes with being in an entrepreneurial environment, where they will be entrusted with a high amount of exposure to senior clients and business decision making from the outset.

The Research Associate’s (RA) main role at Patrick Morgan is to support the Principals and Managing Partner on candidate origination, report writing, and providing commentary on candidates using our internal database. The RA will work with the Principals and Senior Associates to contact potential candidates, take initial calls, write up candidate reports, and create high-quality documents and charts for both the Executive Search process and Patrick Morgan Insight. All RAs will shadow the Principals and Managing Partner when managing the end-to-end search process to learn and develop their own capabilities.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in high level name generation and organisation chart & report creation. Contribute to the long list creation by leveraging internal and external databases to provide commentary on potential candidates.
  • Challenge the MP and Principals on business strategy.
  • Engagement and setting up calls with candidates – will be a priority to develop capabilities.
  • Engaging in other activities to support the growth of the business, i.e., Patrick Morgan Foundation, Strategy Meetings, PR, blog post creation etc.
  • Establish the Search brief with the Principals and Managing Partner to ensure success.
  • Maintain timely and accurate information on the database
  • Overseeing the candidate attraction strategy using every tool and sourcing channel available to maintain an awareness of industry trends and “best in class” leaders/future leaders.
  • Screening, assessment, and short-listing of suitable candidates.
  • Shadow the end-to-end Search processes for Partner & Director level mandates.
  • Support, challenge and drive best practice at each stage of the recruitment process.
Prerequisites
  • Graduated with a 2:1 or above at a top University or international equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience working in an Executive Search firm (Professional Services experience would be desired but not essential)
  • Proven track record of success
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

Senior Associate

The Opportunity and Key Responsibilities

We are looking to hire a Senior Associate to support the growth of the business. The new Associate will have full exposure to some of the most senior international hires made by our Professional Services and Private Equity clients. The successful candidate will benefit from the learning that comes with being in an entrepreneurial environment, where they will be entrusted with a high amount of exposure to senior clients and business decision making from the outset.

The Senior Associate’s main role is to support the Managing Partner and Principals on candidate origination and management: finding the candidate, generating their interest, and managing the candidate relationship until offer stage. You will be given additional responsibilities of having initial client interactions (HR contact, arranging meetings, client meetings etc.), and have a role in Business Development (meeting with Partner & Director level talent in the market).
