Often the least dynamic month of the year, August has seen significant movement in people moves and promotions as the market continues to bounce back. Boutiques experience strong growth, Big 4 players establish new leadership in some geographies, and Tax practices welcome experienced professionals across the board.

Key People Moves

Antonia Wade has joined PwC as their Global Chief Marketing Officer, with prior experience at Capita, Thomson Reuters, and Accenture.

Alvarez & Marsal have hired three new Senior Directors in London. Cheng HeAustin Agerter, and James Olley have all joined in the past months, after spending around a decade at Deloitte. All three consultants will bring a vast amount of experience in buy- and sell-side Transaction Advisory, specifically in the Private Equity space.

Moreover, Alvarez & Marsal have hired Marc Sanders to lead their Tax practice in the Netherlands. He joins after spending a year on gardening leave and brings with him more than 20 years of experience working at several consulting firms, including EY, Deloitte and Taxand.

Krishnapriya Banerjee, a former Partner at Kearney, has joined Accenture as a Managing Director. She specialises in Banking and Payments, supporting clients by devising innovative business and operating models, reacting to customer needs, and deploying agile organisational cultures.

Antony Barnes has left Alvarez & Marsal in London to join EOS Deal Advisory. He brings with him a vast amount of experience in IT strategy within the context of mergers and acquisitions.

Thomas Orr joins Baringa Partners as a Director within their Financial Services practice, where he will focus on Climate Strategy. Thomas joins after spending over 11 years at RBS within their Group Strategy department.

Deloitte US former Chairman of the Board of Directors has just joined UnitedLex as a Strategic Advisor, where he will assist the firm in marking the corporate legal department more efficient.

Accuracy in Dubai have hired Paul Wright and Wendy Robinson, who will help strengthen their Forensic Technology practice. Both Senior Advisors join from KPMG, and they both also have experience at Deloitte.

Paul Wong joins Alvarez & Marsal Taxand after 3 years at BDO UK. He joins as a Senior Director, where he will help organisations access governmental Research & Development tax credits.

Johannes Distler, a Dubai-based Consultant, leaves Roland Berger after 12 years and joins Aramex as their Chief Strategy Officer.

Ben Simpfendorfer has joined Oliver Wyman in Hong Kong, where he will continue to provide Risk Advisory services under the Oliver Wyman brand. He joins the Digital and Finance & Risk practice, after spending 10 years growing his own firm, Silk Road Associates.

Promotions

Stefan Rickert has recently been promoted to a Senior Partner in McKinsey’s Hamburg office, where he will be the new Head of their Hamburg office.

Sharon Marcil will be BCG’s new North America Regional Chair as of October 1st 2021.

Accuracy have promoted both Samuel Widdowson and Zaheer Minhas as Partners in Singapore. Samuel will lead the Construction Disputes team in APAC, whilst Zaheer will join the Infrastructure & Government Advisory practice.

Dr. Sebastian Schoemann has been promoted to the Global and European Head of Digital Transformation at Kearney, based in Germany.

Altman Solon has promoted François-Nicolas Kielwasser, a TMT-focused consultant, to Partner in their Paris office.
